The Jamaica JET Alumni Association (JJETAA) is a member of an international network of JET Alumni Associations. With 41 chapters and over 30,000 alumni worldwide, the JET Alumni Association (JETAA) truly has an international reach. In addition to  the Jamaican Chapter, Alumni Associations can be found in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Korea, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Each of the alumni participated for one to five years in the JET Programme,    working with local Japanese communities in international exchange, language instruction, and sports activities.

The JET Programme is one of the largest and most respected international exchange programs in the world. The Jamaica JET Alumni Association was established in 2003. The Association is an active member of JETAA International, the largest global exchange alumni association. JETAA International draws on its diverse membership to enhance ties amongst the peoples of Japan and the participant countries of the JET Programme.
